DESCRIPTION

ACO-40501SPL is the popular 3.75″ diameter x 5.5″ long size. The ACO-40901SPL is 3.75″ diameter x 8.5″ long. Four mounting head styles are offered for use with these two cartridges. Refer to the back side of this sheet for details.

When an Aquacon® spin-on cartridge reaches its water holding capacity, its accordion pleats swell and cause an increase in the differential pressure which signals the operator to change the cartridge.
Solid contaminants are removed by the cartridge’s two particulate filter media layers. The pleated accordion style design provides a large surface area for maximum dirt holding capacity. Models are offered for particle filtration down to 1/2 micrometer size with 98% plus efficiency. Performance is not affected by the presence of common surface active agents.

These cartridges also effectively filter out dirt, rust, and other particles. (See caution above.)

DESCRIPTION

AC-405SP is the popular 3.75” diameter x 5.5” long size. The AC-409SP is 3.75” diameter x 8.5” long. Five mounting head styles are offered for use with these two cartridges. Refer to the back side of this sheet for details.

Aquacon® Cartridges filter out water by chemically locking it into layers of super-absorbent media. Water removal efficiency is not affected by surfactants or additives, and once captured, the water cannot be squeezed out. These cartridges also effectively filter out dirt, rust, and other particulates.

As a cartridge reaches its water-holding limit, the media expands very rapidly and restricts the flow. For fuels, the flow may completely stop. For oils and other high viscosity liquids, the pressure drop will rapidly increase, signaling the need to change cartridges.
